At last the government has announced that from mid of November
we can have our driving license expiry date synchronized with our birthday.
They are so considering and kind enough to set us a reminder to renew our
driving license on our birthday month. So from now on except planning your
birthday program, do include your license renewal. *Oh good.
My driving license would have expired on end of November,
but my birthday is fall on early of December. Yes I get 1
month free extra validity for my license. For those birth dates are lesser than 6 months away from the expiry date
of their license, no charged for the extra period of validity.
But if your birth dates are same or more than 6 months from
the expiry date of your license, a maximum fee of 6 months will be charged.
So how many "free months" you get for the extra period of
validity?
So sorry,I think the transport ministry should instead think of more ways to reduce accidents,to improve public transportation and what not,instead of doing this,,, isn't it our duty to remember our own expiry date of our license

Rachael - I think you got to renew on March 2012 but the instead of expired on March 2013 it will extended to October 2013. As the extended period more than 6 months, you need to pay some amount for that.
